6.03 Volunteer Leaders: Leadership Roundtables & Best Practice Sharing

Wednesday, April 3, 2013
3:45 PM-4:45 PM
Track: Leading and Managing/Volunteer Leaders
Format: Round Table Discussion
Knowledge Level: 300 level
Session Description: IFMA volunteer leaders will share information in areas critical to chapter/council success, including membership, communications, programs and sponsorship/Associate member relations. Participants are encouraged to bring their best practices in these areas, show samples of relevant brochures and communications, and prepare questions they would like to ask their officer peers. Sessions will be facilitated by IFMA staff. Special speakers from senior leadership will be invited and brief presentations will be made on hot association topics of interest to chapter and council leaders.
Learning Objectives:
  • Share chapter and council operational best practices in order to learn new tactics and improve current practices.
  • Network and make connections for individuals at other chapters so that you can call on them with questions.
  • Develop relationships so that partnerships can be established, allowing chapters to leverage each other to offer new benefits and services for their members.
  • Hear from IFMA staff about resources, tools and templates available to assist chapters with their operations.
  • Speaker:
